Met Gala 2014 - Worst Dressed Guests.

With the Met Gala being on of the biggest nights of the year fashion wise, as well as raising a lot of money for a great cause, it was obvious that there was going to be some absolutely amazing, as well as truly awful outfits. I recently published a post on some of my favourite looks but, as there were so many, I decided to feature my least favourite looks in a separate post. Enjoy!

Lupita Nyong'o, in Prada: I highly consider Lupita to be one of the best dressed women around at the moment, so it was definitely a shock to see what she wore to the Met Gala. Not even the Cartier head band could save her. The first thing that sprung to mind when I saw her outfit was the Jungle Book, which is ironic considering she is reportedly going to feature in the remake of the hit-film.

Karlie Kloss, in Oscar de la Renta: Nothing about the dress works for me; the print, the gloves, the accessories, the fit - it just seemed wrong. Karlie's new best friend, Taylor Swift (pictured behind) also wore Oscar de la Renta and also disappointed me! Clearly not my choice designer of the night.

Alexa Chung, in Nina Ricci: Another one of my usual best dressed celebrities also disappointed me at the Met Gala. Her hair and make-up seemed to be the exact same as her normal, everyday look and wasn't exactly Met Gala worthy and I really wasn't a fan of the dress. Her Christopher Kane bag did not match her dress, nor did her shoes and the twenty five bows were just an unnecessary detail.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, in Valentino: The print, colours and fabric of this outfit just do not work and the fitting completely swamps her figure. Her Valentino studded clutch gives her a few brownie points. Her brother (not pictured), Jake Gyllenhaal, who normally looks like a complete babe should have maybe given the invitation a reread too. It said white tie and he did the complete opposite.

Rita Ora, in Donna Karen Atelier: The singer, known for her sometimes odd outfit choices, wore a champagne-coloured dress with gold detailing with a lace skirt. Word for the wise: don't wear thigh gold, high heel gold gladiator sandals. It doesn't work.

Lily Allen, Chloe Moretz and Kristen Stewart, all in Chanel: It seems like everyone who wore Chanel to the Met Gala was a bit off a disappointment for me. All dresses seemed to be designed to try and be fashion foward that unfortunately ended up looking like a bit of a mess. Lily's looked like one of her children had taken scissors to it, Chloe's had been designed to look like classic Chanel but has gone one (or ten) steps too far and over the top and the new face of Chanel, Kristen Stewart, looked like the bottom half of her skirt was made from turkey feathers and clashed with her hair. All in all, not the best night for Chanel.

Who were your worst dressed of the night?
